As children of the light, we prepare ourselves to become true martyrs: people who witness with their lives to the unlimited love of God. —Henri J.M. Nouwen

Religious Education for New Generations

St. Brendan Church provides religious education for children in first through sixth grade who do not attend Catholic school. The classes are designed to help the children learn about our Trinitarian God of love, the church, the sacraments and morality, and to develop a relationship with God through prayer.

Classes are held at our school, 238 S. Manhattan Place, on Wednesday afternoons, from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., beginning the first Wednesday in October. We offer sacramental preparation in both the second grade and in our fifth/sixth grade class for older children who have not yet received the sacraments. We provide instruction and sacramental preparation for older children in the parish, when the need arises.

You may register your child at the parish office anytime before the start of classes. For further information, or for questions, please call Kathy Russell at 323 936 4656, or email kathy@stbrendanchurch.org.
