Images of Love
Images of Love is a collection of contemporary Catholic Christian
music that is inspired by music director Chris de Silva's ministry
at St. Brendan.
It is a reflection of the vibrant diversity of this faith community and parishes all around the world. It seeks to give a glimpse of parish life through the lens of a music minister.
This is music that can be used at weekly Sunday Liturgy. There is a Mass setting included in the recording—The Mass of St. Brendan. The songs may also be sung at smaller gatherings. They are adaptable and may be performed as solo pieces, with a small group of singers or a larger choir. All the pieces have been sung at liturgies at St. Brendan Church. The style of the music is contemporary with a hint of jazz. The texts are largely based on scripture: psalms and readings. Other texts have been adapted from prayers and stories based on the lives of Saints.
Without love, deeds, even the most brilliant, count as nothing.— Therese of Lisieux
… the fruit of faith is love, the fruit of love is service, the fruit of service is peace. —Teresa of Calcutta
Give me only your love and your grace. That is enough for me.— Ignatius of Loyola
If we really want to love, we must learn how to forgive. — Teresa of Calcutta
