Parish Nurse Program

Through the generous support of the Knights and Dames of the Order of Malta, a lay religious order of the Roman Catholic Church which seeks to glorify God by promoting the sanctification of each member through his or her work with the sick and the poor and witness of the Catholic faith, St. Brendan Church provides a part-time registered nurse to visit seniors and homebound members of the community.

The Parish Nurse is available for home visits, where she offers health counseling, checks on the welfare and diet of those she visits, provides routine medical testing and spends as much time with each person as is needed, especially for those lacking human contact.

If you have a family member who could benefit from a visit from the Parish Nurse, or if you notice that an elderly neighbor seems isolated and without visitors, please call to arrange a visit.

The Parish Nurse is available to visit seniors in their homes Monday and Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Call for an appointment at 323 938 8036 or email parishnurseom@yahoo.com.
